Phoenix dragon, part one of four

This is the first dragon I designed on two looms, so I thought it should be my first post.

this is the baby version you could use four looms and make everything bigger, but I haven’t done that yet.

This is the finished baby

This is the finished baby

this baby needs:

1/4 pack of red bands

1 pack of glow in the dark white bands

1/4 pack of black band

8 pink bands for the tounge

four eye color bands (I recommend using jelly bands)

two looms

step one, the wings:

configure your looms to be four rows wide.

Turn the loom so the open side of the pegs are facing right.

working left to right on the top row, place two bands at a time in this order: red white three times, red red two times, red black three times, black black two times, black white once, and white white once, cap off in white. It should look like this:

Finished first row.

Finished first row.

Now for the second row.

do the same thing but with this order:

red white twice, red red twice, black red three times, black black once, black white once, white white once, cap off in white.

it now should look like this:

The first two rows

The first two rows

The third row is the same idea, but with this pattern:

Red white twice, red red once, red black twice, black black once, black white once, white white once, again cap off in white.

I forgot to take a photo oops.

the fourth row has this pattern:

red white once, red red once, black red once, black black once, black white once, white white once, cap off in white.

Now for the holding bands:

instead of putting the step by step instructions, I will do it then put a picture.

These are all double looped single bands.

These are all double looped single bands.

Now loop the bands down each row only looping the bottom two.

after your done it will look like this:

The looped dragon wing!

The looped dragon wing!

Now tie off the ends with a rubber bands.

then gently pull the wing off the loom, now you have to make another reverse wing, do the same patterns but do a mirror image.

This is part one, part two will be the head and neck.
